Jack’s Oyster House
Jack’s received the honor of having the stretch of State Street from Broadway to Pearl Street nicknamed Jack’s Oyster House Way for the restaurant's centennial in 2013.
Jack’s Oyster House has been an Albany icon since 1913, celebrated for its historic charm, world‑famous seafood, and legacy as one of New York’s oldest continuously operating restaurants. Inside the dining room, the atmosphere recalls another era: black‑and‑white checkered floors, dark wood paneling, leather booths, amber‑glass chandeliers, and gold‑framed photographs of Old Albany. The effect is perfectly suited to a restaurant with more than a century of history. Guests will immerse themselves in a space devoted to honoring its storied tradition while embracing modern culinary experiences.
